One of Pagosa Spring's favorite local bands will be playing at the Motel SOCO on Christmas Eve from 12 - 3pm and Santa is also rumored to be making an appearance!
The Robin Davis Duo blends old time bluegrass with their original material, which draws inspiration from punk, pop, and folk.
Robin showcases impeccable flatpicking guitar and leads the duo with old time fiddle.
Robin also plays mandolin in Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band, which features Anders Beck from Greensky Bluegrass, Travis Book from The Infamous Stringdusters, Jon Stickley from Jon Stickley Trio, and Andy Thorn from Leftover Salmon.
About ten years ago, Robin lived in Durango, Colorado and searched for a bass player. He looked no further than his girlfriend, then named Jimi Giles, and taught her the bluegrass basics. Two weeks later, the two started playing gigs across the Southwest. Now married, Jimi Davis adds clawhammer banjo to the duo's sound.
Their great music and lovely chemistry make their performances truly wonderful. So, take a break from all the last minute holiday prep or just come celebrate with us by enjoying a lovely afternoon of music, food and libations.
